| In view of the current situation of Diabetes in Pakistan regarding Diabetes Mellitus, a series of activities were arranged by the Department of Endocrinology Mercy Teaching Hospital Peshawar. The purpose of these activities was to highlight the importance of healthy and balanced eating, active lifestyle and regular surveillance of those at risk. The series of these activities spanned over 30 days and included sessions by Endocrinologists, Dieticians and nursing staff. Educational material in there form of pamphlets was distributed, free sugar monitoring camps were arranged and patients were also given free medical advice. |
